How it works
Why does my breath arrive as a notification?
iOS doesn't let a blocked app open another app. So when you tap "Take a breath" on the shield, Lentu sends you a notification instead. Tap it and your breath begins.
Keep Lentu's notifications on, and they'll reach you even in a Focus. If notifications are off, the shield asks you to open Lentu instead.
Why did a website still load for a moment?
Safari sometimes shows a blocked site briefly before the block catches up, and some in-app browsers can slip through. That's how website blocking works on iPhone, not something you did. Closing and reopening Safari usually settles it.
What's the difference between Gentle, Firm and Locked?
Gentle: after a breath you can open the app for ten minutes (or five, or fifteen), as often as you need. Firm: a few unlocks a day, each after a breath. Locked: no unlocks until the Block ends; the breath is there for calm.
How long is a breath?
One, three or five minutes, guided by a real voice. You can also breathe with haptics only, or start a breath any time from the Breathe tab, a widget or Control Center.
Hard mode
What happens if I delete the app?
Your Blocks stop straight away, and your history goes with the app, because it only ever lived on your iPhone. While a Hard mode Block is running, no app on your iPhone can be deleted, Lentu included, until it ends.
Can I end Hard mode early?
Not from inside Lentu. That's the point of it, so Lentu shows you everything you're about to block before it starts, and a Hard mode stretch never lasts more than 24 hours. Lentu can still be switched off in iPhone Settings with your Face ID, unless you've set up Lock it with a friend: then Settings asks for the Screen Time passcode your friend chose.
How does Lock it with a friend work?
Someone you trust sets a Screen Time passcode on your iPhone, one you don't know. Lentu walks you through three settings, then you test it yourself: try switching Lentu off in Settings, and it should ask for the code. Lentu can't see or check the code, which is why you run the test. You'll need your friend for any future change to Screen Time settings.
It makes Lentu very hard to switch off, not impossible: someone who knows the passcode, or who resets it with the Apple Account password, can still switch Lentu off.
Price and purchase
Is it really $4.99 once?
Yes. Use everything free for 7 days, then keep it for $4.99, one payment. Never a subscription, and nothing is charged when the free week ends. The App Store shows the price in your currency.
Why isn't Lentu a subscription?
Because you should own what you pay for. A subscription earns more the longer you keep needing an app, and a screen-time app should want the opposite. So Lentu is $4.99, once, with nothing to renew. Why we made Lentu
What happens after the free week?
Blocking pauses until you keep Lentu. Your Blocks and history stay saved, and the one-minute breath keeps working, free, for as long as you like.
Does Family Sharing work?
Yes. Buy Lentu once and up to five family members can use it, each on their own iPhone.
I have an offer code. Where do I use it?
Open the link you were sent, or go to lentu.app/redeem. Codes are redeemed by Apple on the App Store, or in Lentu: Settings › Have a code?
Privacy
What can Lentu see?
Only what Apple's Screen Time allows: anonymous tokens for the apps you pick, never their names or what you do in them. Everything stays on your iPhone. The privacy policy has the details.
Do you collect any data?
The app collects none: no account, no analytics, no ads. This website sets no cookies. If you email us, we keep your message only to reply.
